The Wilson River and Nestucca Rivers are two of the most productive winter steelhead runs in the NW. Terry begins fishing the Wilson River around December with the early run of broodstock steelhead. The run continues through March, often producing over 2,000 catches a year. It’s not uncommon to land a 20lb native or broodstock steelhead during this famous run. Terry uses a variety of techniques based on river levels, tides and water clarity. The majority of the time, you will find Terry side drifting out of the boat during this winter steelhead season.

The Columbia and Willamette Rivers are among the best spring Chinook runs in the Pacific Northwest. These two rivers collide with one another in the Portland area, where the salmon run either continues on to the upper reaches of other large tributaries such as the Deschutes, Sandy and the Snake Rivers, or diverges on down to the Clackamas River.

During this time, thousands of spring Chinook are caught in the Portland area around Multnomah Channel and the Columbia River from late March to June, with other fishing areas like the base of Willamette Falls also producing thousands of fish. You will find Terry trolling Mulkey Pro Flashers in his Alumaweld Jet Boat, most likely with a fish on. Half and full day trips can be scheduled for this area.

The famed Columbia River Buoy 10 salmon fishery in Astoria provides some of the best fishing for Coho and Chinook Salmon fishing on all of the West Coast. On this run you will find thousands of fish running up the river as they make their way to all of the tributaries throughout the Northwest. It’s not uncommon to have over a million Chinook Salmon pass through the area during this famous run. Coho Salmon are also abundant and plentiful during this time as well. You will find Terry trolling in his roomey 24-foot Alumaweld Jet boat. This is a run you don’t want to miss. Terry offers full day trips during this run, but don't be surprised if you get your limit early.

Tillamook Bay and the five rivers that converge in this area are known for some of the best fall Chinook Salmon and steelhead fishing up and down the West Coast. Terry uses his Alumaweld Jet Boat when fishing out in the Bay of Tillamook, and up the rivers in his Willie Drift Boat. The fish that run through here are some of the largest fall Chinook Salmon you will find up and down the coast. Book a day with us and come experience this amazing fishery.
